Aperto, in a few words - art space, associative gallery

Since 1997, Aperto has hosted contemporary art exhibitions, participated in artistic events, and promoted creativity among young artists.
It is a space for research, production and exhibition, open to artists and committed to showcasing the area's cultural richness and diversity by presenting works of art and artistic propositions from around the world. It is an artistic space open to the public.
Each year, Aperto presents a programme of five or six exhibitions with different characteristics: group or monographic exhibitions organised by Aperto or young administrators; time for research and experimentation: the 48 Hours, the Buzz; and in-situ events taking place in public spaces: the 'Facades'.

In addition to these activities, the gallery organises events and participates in fairs outside its premises.
For over 10 years, more than 80 artists have had the opportunity to create works, fulfil projects and participate in collective events on specific topics.
In line with its activities, Aperto has been publishing work since 2003. These publications present exhibition issues and provide accounts of events, as well as reference books on specific topics and artists' books. These publications are available in bookshops, as well as in schools of fine arts (Rennes, Aix-en-Provence, Nîmes and Montpellier), and at distribution points such as Zédélé Editions in Brest and the Philippe Pannetier Gallery in Nîmes, among others.
